Occupation :Yard owner, Horse Trainer, Showjumping rider up to National and International Grand Prix (1.60 level)
Horses : 7!
SOLIEGETTE (Solie) - My horse of a lifetime. A VERY special 15.2 and a half bay Dutch Warmblood mare by Carlino. I have produced her myself since a 4 year old up to 1.60 Grand Prix and Promotional League Nations Cup level.
ALTORRO (Alfie) - a 15.3hh 10 year old Belgian Warmblood gelding by Skippy II. I have jumped him up to Newcomers level, but he is a bit of a handful in the jumping ring, and so is currently for sale as a potential dressage horse.
VICKY (Vicky) - (I did not name her - it’s on her passport!) - a 16.1hh, 8 year old bay Dutch Warmblood mare by Kennedy. She is also for sale as a dressage horse, as this is what she was bred for, and she really does have lovely paces.
WINNIPEG B (Vinnie) - a 15.2hh 7 year old dark bay Dutch Warmblood mare by Cantos. She is very talented but also very green, and not an easy ride. She is currently jumping at British Novice level.
DENTHE DW (Lily) - a 16hh, 7 year old bay Dutch Warmblood mare by Codex. She is currently jumping at Newcomers level, and I am hoping she is going to be very good in the future.
ALTIMA (Rosa) - a 16.1hh, 5 year old Dutch Warmblood mare by Ultimo. She is currently competing at Discovery level, and I think she's got the attitude and ability to go a long way.
AZON B (Azon) - a 15.1hh, 5 year old bay mare by Concorde. Sadly Azon had an accident before she was due to be broken in, resulting in a permanent head-tilt and consequently she can never be ridden. She is currently in foal to Mr Visto and we are very excited for the foal’s arrival in August this year.
Greatest Achievement: With Solie this constantly changes. In 2008 it was being placed 3rd in the Queen’s Cup at Hickstead. In 2009 it was winning the BSJA International Stairway series, and this year, so far, it is winning two 2* International Grand Prix in Ireland before being selected for a British Nations Cup Team at Drammen, in Norway last month.
Dream Horse: I am fortunate enough to have found my dream horse. I would not swap Solie for any other horse in the world. If I was to choose another dream horse, it would be Shutterfly. He is absolutely amazing. However, I don't think anyone could get such a good tune out of him as Meridith Michaels Beerbaum does. They are a true partnership.
Hobbies: As with most horsey people, horses take up a LOT of my time. But I enjoy swimming, reading and writing. I am trying to find the time to write a book, as it's something I have always wanted to do. I also watch a lot of movies, and enjoy catching up with my friends at the pub when I'm home and not away at a competition.
Showjumper I most admire: It is the same as it was when I was 6... John Whitaker... he has absolute natural talent. He is simply amazing to watch.
Ambition: I have fulfilled my ambition to be selected for a British team on a Promotional League Nations Cup. Now my ambition is to be selected for another couple of promotional league teams, to jump double clear, and over the next couple of years, I would love to be good enough to be selected for a Super League team. And to win a 3* Grand Prix!
